Dairy and Gluten-Free Desserts

Although we carry desserts made without wheat flour or dairy, our scratch bakery is not an entirely gluten-free or dairy-free environment.

Dessert Works is a PEANUT FREE bakery! Please be aware we do have tree nuts.

Please order your desserts in advance to ensure their availability.

Chocolate “Nothing” Cake (dairy-, egg-, and gluten-free)

Our Chocolate “Nothing” cakes are available in 8″- $45 or cupcakes 3 for $9.75 for immediate pick up. These moist chocolate cakes are gluten- & dairy-free as well as eggless. They are 2 layer cakes decorated with vanilla frosting with  chocolate & vanilla frosting stripes. These cakes are flash frozen to ensure optimal freshness and flavor. They should be tempered at room temperature for at least 4 to 6 hours before serving.Our “Nothing”cakes taste best served at room temperature.

Cakes ordered with at least 2 weeks’ notice can have any of our standard dairy-free decorations available: birthday balloons, 1 color frosting flowers or fresh strawberries. Frosted in chocolate or vanilla frosting. 
Also with 2 weeks’ notice many of our “themed” scene cakes can be done dairy-free and/or gluten-free with subtle substitutions or omissions to accommodate the allergy. Price varies according to the design. Call the store for more information.

 Chocolate GLUTEN FREE ONLY cake   REQUIRES 1 WEEK NOTICE

This moist, gluten-free chocolate cake is available for order with your choice of any of our mousse fillings. (Mousses contain dairy & egg.) No fresh berry fillings please.
Customers have their choice of frosting: Italian meringue buttercream, American frosting, fresh whipped cream, or chocolate ganache.

 

All of our standard decorations are available. Specialty “theme” cakes are priced according to the design. Please call for more information.

Flourless Chocolate Cake 9″ only—$45     Individual slices $4.30ea.
This rich, fudgey cake is glazed in chocolate ganache and decorated with chocolate adornments.

Keylime Tart      8″ (serves 6-8) — $26   
Tart key lime filling in a coconut, almond, and candied ginger crust.
Topped with fresh whipped cream and candied lime zest.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons -$15/dozen. Plain coconut macaroons can be ordered at $9 per dozen.
